The linrat program is designed to be used at a DOS command line within a folder
containing all the relevant files.
Customising states
It is designed for use within Australia, and so by default will
use state designations of NSW ACT VIC SA QLD TAS WA OS.
When used elsewhere, it may be customised as follows.
Design a set of abbreviations for your "states" eg AU MY SG US UK.
These must be four letters long at most.
Use a plain text editor, eg Notepad, to edit RATING.DAT to show the
"state" of each player. Ignore the four letter NICK, but change the state
column. This is a tedious job but should only need to be done once.
NICKstateNAME isc18.tou 20081211
LMAC UK Lewis Mackay 43 2232 20081027
PGAL UK Paul Gallen 13 2191 20080210
GASI MY Ganesh Asirvatham 552 2182 20080622
THUN AU Tony Hunt 8 2178 20061128
Create a plain text file called STATES.TXT which is merely a list of states
that you are using, one abbreviation per line, eg
AU
MY
SG
UK
US
Make sure that STATES.TXT is stored in your work directory.
