Proposed Words from Australia

In the future we may be invited to submit words for inclusion in later editions of the Collins word list. The words collected below have been nominated by tournament and club players as worthy of inclusion. They may be of interest, but please remember these words are not yet "legal" and so you may not want to study them too closely, if you believe you may be tempted or inspired to play them in competition.

While Australian words are of great interest, and some of our colloquial terms are viable, you need not confine yourself to them. Words being used globally which haven't yet made it into Collins are equally eligible. One player has been submitting Greek, Turkish and Lebanese words relating to food, all of which we enjoy here in Australia.

Nominations should be sent to Katie Rowe at iratekow@aapt.net.au
