From the convenor: We welcome all players, from novice to experienced, at any time between our operating hours of 10.30 am to 4.30 pm every Wednesday. All equipment is provided. It costs only $5 to play, whether you come for an hour or six hours.

On the first Wednesday of each month in the morning, we have our monthly tournament, in which players are grouped according to ability (we compile weekly statistics of each member's club performance) and compete for cash prizes over three games. No looking up is allowed during this tournament.

On other Wednesdays, we can look up word lists or Collins Zyzzyva before lunch and, after lunch, we dispense with reference material. The Bowling Club's Bistro provides good value sandwiches and snack meals

At every non-tournament session, we pick a theme and a mystery word, and give lolly prizes to players who play a word relevant to the theme. If someone plays the mystery word, they receive whatever the jackpot prize has climbed to: from $10 to the maximum of $100. If not won, the jackpot rolls over by $10 to the following week's session. (New players have to wait until they have made six attendances in the year before they can win the full jackpot; otherwise, they receive $10.)

Each Christmas, the club pays for a free Christmas Dinner at the Bowling Club's Bistro for each eligible member, who can bring along partners or friends who pay the full price: these occasions are always lively do's!

Each year, the club organises a tournament (usually in March) open to Scrabble players in NSW and adjacent States. This attracts 30 to 40 players from far and wide who appreciate the Bowling Club’s spacious venue.

Also each year we have a short annual general meeting when we elect the small committee, but we are small enough to have ad hoc club meetings at any other time to decide changes to our rules or policies.

Whilst we take our scrabble seriously, we engage in plenty of friendly banter.
